"Trojan Women" one of the best anti-war plays, by Euripides promotes all the human values that usually are destroyed during wartime. Watching "Trojan Women" you cannot but feel emotional and touched by the stories of the characters. The journey of the "Trojan Women" directed by Leonidas Loizides will soon begin. This big step of "The Trojan Women" - a talented and strong cast - is supported strongly, by having by our side two giants of culture. Mikis Theodorakis and Michalis Kakoyiannis honor us with their great support and enthousiasm.
Mikis Theodorakis, the great Greek composer that is so well known worldwide, was so kind to gift to "Trojan Women" the music from the movie Michalis Kakoyiannis made as well as some of his songs without ever demanding or asking for a financial benefit. The "sacred giant" of Greek music is so impressed by our effort that the only thing he asked from our own Hecuba - Paola Hadjilambri who is a graduate of the National Theatre of Greece - was to be kept up to date of our performances all over the world and be sent pictures. People like Mikis Theodorakis and Michalis Kakoyiannis-who gifted the translation to us with pleasure - are the kind of people who give us the wings to fly with and travel throughout the world in our effort to spread the Greek Culture. We believe that the Greek Culture must travel everywhere in the world so that all people will become familiar with the civilization and the values that we were blessed to inherit, to be raised with, and be able to call ourselves Hellenes!
